Peaceful (Pooped?) Pups

Here we have a pair of Yorkshire Terriers, Dexter and Drew. They live in German Village, Ohio with their human Mom and Dad. According to Dexter's Mom, "I named Dexter after Dexter's Laboratory since he always looks like he's plotting something, probably world domination." I think a world dominated by a sweet canine sounds lovely!

Make a Wish

Happy go lucky Genie, a soft and fuzzy yellow Labrador Retriever mix, smiles for the camera. Genie lives in Upper Arlington, Ohio with her humans (a mom, a dad and three girls) and her dog brother, Wesley (see "Bless You!").

"Bannie" Lass

According to her human mother, Bannie is pronounced "Bonny" as in Bonny Lass. Bannie, a West Highland Terrier, is named for the single malt whiskey, Oban - also a town in Scotland. Bannie's brother, Brewster, outweighs her by 6-7 pounds (see "All Teeth, No Talk"), but she's boss.

A happy family in Upper Arlington, Ohio adopted Wesley, a 7-month old Shih Tzu, last week. Whenever I hear this breed's name said aloud, it makes me think someone sneezed.

Murphy

Today's sweetie pie is Murphy, a rescued mix from Columbus.

Murphy's more gregarious than he looks. It took three photos to get one in which he was sitting still!

Biff, an elderly Pomeranian rescue, could easily be mistaken for a puppy or a koala!
